Niupipo Graphite Pickleball Paddles Review

It is super important to ensure you have the right paddle when playing pickleball. The right paddle for you can make all the difference.

For newer players, a low-priced paddle is always a good choice, after all, you don’t want to fork out for an expensive paddle if you do not know how often you are going to be playing, or if it is a sport you intend on playing in the long term.

Niupipo Graphite Pickleball Paddles Review

However, most people will focus on only expert and expensive paddles, but we want to consider the lower-priced paddles which can be better suited to newbies to the pickleball game.

One of these paddles is the Niupipo Graphite Pickleball Paddle. These paddles are quite popular, so we decided to take a look.

If you are thinking of buying a Niupipo Graphite paddle, read on to find out all you need to know about them!

Overall

This paddle is the best paddle for new, novice players, but is also ideal for those at an intermediate level as well.

The first thing any player will notice about this paddle is how it looks, its color scheme is very eye-catching, however, not only is it nice to look at, but it is also an ideal size for new players too.

Beginner players want something light in weight, medium-sized, and easy to maneuver, this is exactly that. It is 8 oz and is 10.85” Long and 7.85” wide, not including the handle.

In spite of it being one of the best budget-friendly paddle choices on the market, it also had an epic polymer honeycomb core, which is something of a Niupipo trademark.

The brand has spent a long time making this core, and it is one of the reasons their paddles are so loved.

The paddle is also graphite, which is one of the best and most effective materials that can be used for a paddle. The graphite face also adds flexibility which allows for better control.

A high-quality paddle needs to provide good handling and grip, no matter the expense.

This paddle has a very comfortable sweat-absorbing grip, but it really is up to you if you like it. It has a circumference of 4.25” on the grip also, which is fairly standard.

Features

While we have briefly explained what there is to know about the Niupipo Graphite paddles, let’s delve a little deeper into its features, and what you should expect should you purchase one of these.

Power

The Niupipo polymer core is actually closer to being a Nomex core than it is a thick polymer core, so its feeling is a bit harder, which gives you even more power with a bit less control.

The playability of the paddle is impressive, and you can even feel a bit of a pop in the paddle upon a hit.

It excels more in the back of the court in terms of power, as you have more court to play with.

This is because, even though the paddle has power, the placement is not necessarily always as consistent as you may want.

But, with power, it offers a great amount of power for what you pay for it.

Control

This Niupipo has a slick graphite face, and alongside its hard polymer core, it is around average in its control abilities.

It can be a bit tricky to hit difficult shots with an epic spin, but it can still happen.

There have been plenty of people playing with these paddles able to get a good topspin and a hard serve.

However, this is likely to happen much more consistently if you have a more expensive paddle to play with.

Generally, though, they do not have the most control, but enough for newbies. The paddle also lacks texture, which may be a reason for the lesser control, but it is still more of a power paddle.

Depending on how you play, this may be ideal for you.

Forgiveness

Forgiveness typically works in tandem with paddle control, and in our opinion, the Niupipo Graphite Paddle has more forgiveness when you play at the back of the court.

However, most pickle ballers end up playing in the back of the court, and this can be less forgiving.

If you are trying to pick an optimal poach, or if you are going to return a hard hit, it can be less forgiving than you might like.

This probably has something to do with it having a core that is similar to Nomex cores. The core feels hard, and while it is not super forgiving, it does have the power.

That being said, with practice and determination you can get used to the paddle, and will eventually be able to control a majority of the shots that do not hit the sweet spot.

Overall Playing Ability

Generally, most people will enjoy playing with the Niupipo Graphite Pickleball Paddle. It is a solid choice for beginners at a low cost.

It’s got a lot of power, which is ideal for beginners, however, it does lack control and finesse, but this is to be expected for a cheaper paddle.

It is a decent weight, on the medium side. It is a good choice for new picklers.

Are Niupipo Pickleball Paddles Any Good?

Paddles made by Niupipo are USAPA approved, so they are certified and tested, and if they are approved by the USAPA then they are generally good.

Of course, they are ideal for beginners, but more experienced players may not find them so ideal.

They are more of a power paddle than a paddle for control, however, it does depend on your playing style if this is an important factor for you.

Niupipo Pickleball Paddles

Niupipo have two primary types of pickleball paddles, one is the Graphite paddle, which we have already discussed, however, the other is their fiberglass paddle.

Fiberglass paddles are not so popular, and at some pickleball clubs, they are not allowed.

However, we will still compare the two.

Who Exactly Are Niupipo?

Niupipo are one of the leading pickleball brands worldwide, they have more than 2 decades of experience selling and designing paddles and balls for pickleball. They are some of the most popular on the market.

They are unlike other brands in that they specialize in specifically pickleball paddles and balls.

They even have a smaller selection of products they have made of nearly perfect quality. They are a brand that has continually chosen quality over quantity in its products.

Is It Worth It?

If you are unsure if you should buy a Niupipo Pickleball Paddle, then you should know that in terms of quality for money, you probably won’t get much else better than this.

Their paddles have also been sanctioned as okay for pickleball tournaments, but they are still beginner friendly.

Also, if you are a total beginner, the paddle is sure to last you a long time, even as you improve!

Thanks to the ergonomic grip, their paddles are comfortable and light but do not compromise the power of the paddle. They come in neoprene cases too! Fancy!
