The game of Pickleball has been around for about 50 years, but only in recent years has it seen a great surge in popularity, and is fast becoming the most popular sport in the US! So, why are some people reluctant to get started?
Hi, I’m Michael Walter, and I am a Pickleball enthusiast. I work as a High School Physical Education Teacher, so I have an expansive knowledge of sports and its impact on physical health.
When I first took a position at my current school, one of the many things I wanted to implement in the curriculum was Pickleball.
Pickleball is a fantastic sport to keep yourself active, healthy, keep your blood pumping, and to start a good sense of competitiveness and team work.
This is why I wanted to create a Pickleball Club for the kids at my school, so they could learn the rules of the game, and have some fun playing against one another, and as doubles.
As Pickleball is a relatively fresh sport rising to fame in the states right now, it’s not something that everyone knows how to play. But, I think that they should!
With more and more competitions and tournaments coming around, Pickleball is a sport that all ages can have fun with, and it keeps you fit and strong, whether you are a teenager or middle aged!
My purpose is motivated by my drive to educate others on the beauty of Pickleball, and to get more people involved with this wonderful sport.
